The provenance of the piece leaves open the possibility they're originals bc the original owner was from the same town as the artist.

I know we hate them but...google has a reverse image search. Take a close up pic of of each painting and upload it to your computer. If it's a famous enough artists it might find similar works and details. It's how creepy 4chans track down pron stars.
