Doing a full body workout in 1/2 hour, or as soon as my pre-workout starts kicking in

The most I have ever DL'd was 290. That was 6-7 years ago. I am getting too old for that shit. I'm going for hypertrophy, not max strength.

edit: I realize the two are not mutually exclusive...

I did 405 lbs 4x at a weight of 210. Huge confidence builder. How many guys walking around can pick up 400 lbs off the ground? That was 20 years ago. My knees are shot now.

Yeah, I hear you. I never use anything these days, but I tried some preworkout in maybe 2014ish and I just ended up puking red liquid 20 mins in. Never again. I was more saying I wish these things werent so...garbage(i guess would be the term)

Some are better than others. None have ever made me puke, so that sounds like a personal issue. Either that or you tried the worst PWO on the planet.

I find that some actually give me energy and a desire to workout, while others that may even have more caffeine do not seem to give me as much ambition or energy. Six Star has a good pre-workout and it is one of the cheaper ones out there. It is called "Explosion". I use 1.5 servings before a workout. I like to have around 225mg of caffeine in me before I start. I find that to be a good level, personally.

You could always just go with a cup or two of coffee, depending on how strong it is. Take creatine separately as a supplement.
