Anybody seen that list of about:config changes you can make to remove these "new features"? I saw it mentioned, but lost the link.

Privacy Badger, UBlock Origin, NoScript, Ghostery.
I use all of them with FireFox and never see ads.

basically, when you use the url bar in their updated version to search for something in firefox, they will send whatever you type there to the advertisement agencies, but who knows where else that info goes? The article says the feature can be disabled. Since firefox is open source someone would have to double check and make sure disabling this feature does disable it.

Don't use ghostery it's made by ad agencies. Privacy Badger is good, so is uMatrix, but it's more than most people want to deal with.

Shodan, AdNauseum, uBlock Origin, Containers, HTTPS Everywhere, IPFS Companion, VPN, few other extensions.
