Fun fact many collies and a few related herding breed cant tolerate ivermectin. They have an extreme sensitivity to this drug and a few others due to a genetic mutation to the MDR gene. MDR gene controls p-glycoprotein which is a molecule that filters drugs out of cells, particularly in the blood brain barrier (ivermectin is a neurotoxin). Some herding dogs have low p-glycoprotein expression and a weak blood brain barrier. Some cancer cells which become chemotherapy resistant have mutated MDR genes which OVER-express p-glycoproteins, in order to filter out the chemotherapy agents and survive/metastasize. Just white people things.

I don’t think so. It was not my intention to imply whites don’t know what they are doing. Although to be sure some do not. Maybe you could clarify what you mean? I was citing a nerdy factoid which I assume some whites might be interested in.

On a related note, you may in fact drink because you are white. Alcoholism seems to be linked with light skin and light eye color and the melanocortin system’s involvment in neurology may be to blame. Melanotan has been used with limited success in treating white alcoholics. Of course the down side with that is darker skin. Do you have blue eyes?
