Especially if you are able to record it and post the video online. The only way that this would be infeasible is through differential enforcement of some rule against it versus the entry rules being breached. If all the wall money instead funded a bounty pot, the problem would be solved long ago.

Border Patrol will stop citizens from protecting the border and it would be "bad Whites" in the news cycle for a month, then used in a bill to grant amnesty to the entire planet.
The real border security. I don't know why people think that the biden administrations goal is to stop illegals from crossing the border. They will, however, stop anyone attempting to stop those same illegals.
I’d imagine the Mexican military that escorts valuable assets that across and into US territory would have a little surprise. I would assume the US state Dept would justify as self defense the Mexican military opening fire on US citizens on US territory while assisting in smuggling human and contraband cargo into the US.
I know first hand that things like this have been happening for a lot of years. First learned of “shootin’ illegals as they cross the border” as a hobby back in 1990. Was down by the border for a while and learned from very reliable sources.
Never engaged the hobby myself, but know people who did.
It’s a big BIG border down there. Lots and lots of empty desert. Many things happen down there nobody ever hears about.

Watch a documentary or 2 on the border. You'll find that cartels/smugglers own small areas of land near the border and will have a scout - 'legally' sitting on the hill watching for border patrol and anything else out there.
