This is probably just so some rich dude can buy the dip. Sell high...create fake crisis to make stock go down...buy cheap...fake crisis goes away...stock goes back up.

Lifelog is way too valuable. People freely share personal information and pictures on there, not to mention the microphone, camera, and GPS permissions on their mobile devices. It's too big to fail.

It’s not a surveillance platform, it’s a profiling platform.
Just like google mostly.. eventually (if not already) they’ll have gained sufficient data (and cash) for any and all projected goals, and they’ll be able to forfeit profits entirely for the social control

Most people are dynamic, not static. As they grow, change, or devolve, a service like this can adapt to their consumer needs/desires.

Why forfeit cash for social control when you can have both? I don't use Facebook so I'm unaware of what social control they exert, but having both shekels and control sounds nice. Kingly, if you will.

Not to mention, police work closely with mainstream social media sites. Recently, a Missouri man was arrested when he posted a photo of a car part for sale. He didn't think to put his bag of methamphetamine away and he was booked on some drug charges.
