You can still learn and study latin. In fact, it can help you get further in actual important subjects if you are are participating in the propaganda education system. We also still use it in scientific nomenclature.

Latin could be critical for the purposes of archaeology or history. I have study certain ancient languages for the purposes of proofing modern translations.
