Common communist trick. Do something absurd or at least threaten to do so. Push it as far as you can. Then ease up but retain a level that otherwise would have never been allowed. Sell its as a win and reasonable course of action. Then repeat the process. There is more to it of course like learning who is and isnt a good slave.
Anyone sensible who used a tiny bit of forethought knows that beyond the likely disingenuous parroting of others there is something very wrong.
