there are around 150 species of fungus that specifically attack species and have mind control techniques? some of their life cycles are super complex.

another one details an ant that hangs on the end of a leaf, so a rabbit will hopefully eat it. in the rabbits gut, it lays eggs, which are left in rabbit pellets. from there, the pellets are eaten at some point by snails, which ends up irritating the snail and dropping the larva into the snail slime trail. the slime trail then has larvae, and the slime trail is eaten by ants. the parasite matures in the ant body and forces the ant to clamp onto the end of a blade of grass, to be eaten by a rabbit, and the cycle continues.
