One of my guys called me this morning, his 5yo had a slight fever so he told the school he was keeping him home... now he needs a negative covid test or his son is out of school for two weeks, and it gets better!
They ejected his 3yo daughter from daycare "as a precaution".
So his choices are get the two tested or be out of work for two weeks, split between him and his waifu.
He has no family in this region and his waifu is European so no family here either, nobody to babysit.
Naturally he's outraged at the ridiculousness of all this but still won't consider 'downsizing' his lifestyle & homeschooling instead.
Tell him he's fired unless he mans up and actually takes care of his children. If this next gen of kids makes it to adulthood, they are gonna be fucked up
My solution is to give him the option of actually being a man for his children. If his choices are masks or having his kids shadow him around, the choice should be obvious. Do we want the next generation to be slaves?
Forcing your kid to either wear a mask, get a vaccine, or to be tested by commies is being a shitty parent. So by giving him the option to not do any of that and keep his job, you are giving him the option of being a real man for his kids. Dont give into the commies? Keep your job. I did in 2020 and this year, first when he was layed off at the beginning and then when there was no daycare and he was splitting time off work with his wife to stay home. I was telling him he should keep working full time and support the family while the wife raised the kids.
It's then I realized his biggest hurdle is the wife wanting to work instead of staying home, he'd go for it himself even if it means working 60hrs s week... your suggestion might just get him to re-address the issue with her and get positive results.

This papermill I do work for frequently just decided to mandate the shot for all contractors but not their employees because they'd get fucked... coincidentally I'm shopping for a job where I don't have to go on-site anymore because I think the boss will cave.
Last school year (the last year my son will ever go to public school), he was sick for two consecutive days. After the second day, they said he had to stay home for 2 weeks.
