It really doesn't matter either way, as language is a vector for meaning and defined by its usage, without this, ut wouldn't evolve, and we wouldn't have words for new concepts, or for better describing existing concepts.

So long as the intended meaning is gotten across, the words used are valid.

Grammar pro-tip: It's grammatically incorrect to use "snuck" in writing, use "sneaked". It's considered acceptable however to use it in spoken word. There are a few other words like that I can't think of off the top of my head. English is not a consistent language, obviously.
