Google uses it to learn referrals. Clicks phone home depending on headers used. Fonts for example.

Get the uMatrix plugin and block everything google has on every web page, that font crap included. Nothing can be done about the google captcha though. There's also a good amp-redirect plugin to sidestep that wiretap.

block webm in userprefs and open it in vlc or whatever instead of trying to mold the world to your whims
