There's a third type of privilege that is real. Hardship. Because there are no mechanisms that support whites succeeding, they have to do everything themselves. This develops agency and problem solving skills. I would have had a much harder time starting a successful business if I'd been given scholarships, financial aid and had lower expectations for grades.

very true. when I was broke as shit and taking any job I could find, including scrubbing septic tanks, pretty sure my white privilege was there, when I'd scrub human shit out from under my fingernails.
