Yeah sure it was about slavery. Like they would have sent hundreds of thousands of kids off to die to save a pack of criminal blacks who were in the exact same position they were at the end of the war as at the beginning— farm hands incapable of doing anything independently of a white person.

The whole thing was about shekels. They sold the war to some christian social justice types as a war against slavery. Strictly PR.

It's not something you think about and you are able to focus much better. Less drama, increased comaraderie. I think its beneficial at that awkward HS age to segregate the sexes.

You can have seperated classes but not schools, you still could interact with girls in between, as it should be.

You're not supposed to talk during class anyway. And there aren't long pauses between classes to make a talk worthile. Not sure if American schools are different. In Germany you get like 5min inbetween classes and two longer 20min breaks where you are supposed to be outside to get fresh air.
