What's sad is that these kids know they look weak. They know half the country laughs at them. I work with kids from all over the country; the ones who come from places/families like this axiomatically are unsure of themselves, lack self esteem and personal responsibility, are noticeably timid in the presence of others, and often lack respect for superiors. If your child looks like this, you are failing as a parent.
