Technically they say that it's to make sure that they can avoid counting duplicate and have to adjust the numbers downwards the next day if some people voted by mail and in person.

It really comes down to our poll watchers in this case but I'm unsure about mail-in counts & procedures.

Got an email from the ppc asking for poll watchers and I might just volunteer for it.
