I’ll butcher this pretty bad, but I heard an explanation how the legal push back on vaping is actually the tobacco companies. Apparently it sounded like their old lawsuits fined them for billions, but also made them somewhat liable for certain kinds of future smoking related cancers. And if they couldn’t keep the numbers within some kind of progression over the next 30 some odd years (which apparently lapsed in the last 2-3 years) that they were on the hook for billions more in fines. And vaping injuries apparently fall under the range of their liability. So allegedly they’ve been lobbying the fuck out of the UN and health regulators to resist vaping.
