Presented to you by the WHO. Praise Fauxi. Praise, you heathens.

Alternative image, slightly smaller range: https://files.catbox.moe/9cvy52.png

Notice how it comes and goes in waves. Notice how it never drops to zero, even in off seasons. Notice the smaller waves between seasons, some years. Notice how some years are much worse than others. Notice how it smoothly curves up and down, organically, over the years.

Until around week 12 of 2020, when it abruptly drops off a cliff. And never comes back.

Which happens to be exactly the time when the narrative shifted from "this is fine, don't be racist, go hug a chinaman today" to "you're all going to die, unless you wear your muzzles and get your shots, you filthy plague-bearing peasants".

Here's a link to the actual interactive tool: https://apps.who.int/flumart/Default?ReportNo=10

Pick any date range you like, hit display report, wait a few seconds.

Crystal ball prediction time.

The flu will make a sudden return, starting early 2022. At the same time, Covid cases will diminish significantly. The vaccines will be credited. Mandates vindicated. Hurray. Just in time to introduce mandatory booster shots. Twice a year. To keep things under control. And mandatory flu shots. Maybe even rolled in with the boosters. Multi-shot!

Also: No vaxx? No bank access. Just do what's right.

Some faggit on the news this morning claiming all the "covid health precautions" explain this.

[ - ] Flabbygasted 3 points 2.7 yearsSep 13, 2021 08:41:43 ago (+3/-0)

Then how are there covid cases?

"That's because covid is just so duper dangerous!! You can easily see that it's not "just the flu" since the safety measures managed to eradicate the flu, but covid was so dangerous it couldn't be contain by the measures." -NPC

To which I would reply, bullshit. It's no coincidence that 2018 flu numbers are basically the same as 2020 covid numbers.

You posted this and the-FBI,NSA,CIA and the local Po-po isn't at your place?

Would be useful to overlay the (((official))) COVID numbers on the new dates to compare.

My instincts say that it'll look very similar in shape to all the previous waves.

Related (US):
"Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this system will suspend data collection for the 2020-21 influenza season."

A big, hearty WTF?

Specimens is the number of people who got it in millions? Around the world?

Just so I can answer the question when it comes up, since the graph itself obviously doesn’t mean anything! Not to mention why would the news hide this info from me /s

I think it is just straight up that number of samples that tested positive. Note: Each column/point is a week. Globally.

You have to recall, in pre-covid times, practically nobody actually got TESTED for the flu. You usually just diagnosed yourself based on your symptoms: "I think I've got the flu". Or you went to the doctor, who would look at your symptoms, and go: "I think you've got the flu. Can't really help ya. Drink lots of fluids. Take something to keep that fever down when it's bad."

Only a tiny subset of patients had their samples sent in for testing. Mostly for purposes of tracking like this. All the flu numbers you see elsewhere, like stats on how many cases there were in the US per year, are actually estimates. Estimates extrapolated from data like this, by multiplying the data to simulate everyone being tested.

This is very, very different from post-covid era, when everyone and their dog gets PCR'ed. Sometimes multiple times. Repeatedly.

To put actual numbers to it:

In the first week of 2019, across the USA, all participating labs tested 47,278 samples for Influenza. Of these, 7,068 were positive.

- (different from link above, shows table with exact numbers, by region; use smaller time ranges as it takes longer)

On Jan 10, 2021, that day alone, across the USA, all participating labs tested 2,044,361 samples for Covid. Of these, 272,011 were positive.

Again, notice that is one whole week before, versus one day after. A mind-boggling rampup in testing, in order to generate more "cases" for the media to fear-monger with. Note that each of those positive results is "a case". But a sample is not a person. If someone's sample gets sent to multiple labs, which they often did in Covid era, that's multiple tests run, and therefore multiple cases if they come back positive.

Also: Part of the reason the flu cases dropped so abruptly, within a couple of weeks, and actually dropped to 0, like never before, was because all labs worldwide simultaneously just stopped testing for Influenza. Make of that what you will.

I mean a lot of diseases took a fucking hit from lockdown, especially the first one that got taken seriously and had a very high compliance rate.

Whooping cough basically gone
And I imagine that in places that have good access to sexual health services and treatments that std's took a really big hit.

Also, flu doesn't really have much of an asymptomatic transmission window, then add that lots of people would be isolating with flu like symptoms...

Having said that, there are still some going around, and there is definitely some shady business a happen...

Lol graphs like this are going to be shown in history classes, and all the kids are going to call us all retarded

[ - ] GloryBeckons [op] 4 points 2.7 yearsSep 13, 2021 05:40:38 ago (+4/-0)*

Yeah, those masks and lockdowns are sure something.

They seem to have "worked" on every single respiratory disease. All of them disappeared or significantly diminished. Except that one respiratory disease which they were supposed to stop. That one just kept on growing. While the others kept shrinking. Under exactly the same conditions. At the same time. Amazing.

I fear it's going to take many generations for the truth to come out, if it ever does. When so many people buy into a lie, it takes on a life of its own. They all will protect it now, and lie more to do so, to avoid having to admit they were fooled.

[ - ] theBreadSultan 0 points 2.7 yearsSep 13, 2021 11:47:45 ago (+0/-0)

Yeah there is obviously bullshit at play...

However, the lockdowns did create an environment too hostile for some diseases to cope

[ - ] GloryBeckons [op] 0 points 2.7 yearsSep 13, 2021 12:14:35 ago (+0/-0)*

Did they? Do you know that for a fact, or are you assuming?

Data from 2020 showed an increase of about 20% in overall mortality, all causes, compared to previous years. Only about half of that excess was in any way attributed to Covid, in spite of their best efforts to label anything and everything Covid for those sweet government kickbacks (any death within 6 months of a positive Covid test is considered "Covid-related"... The government paid about $10,000 for each of those reported, and $40,000 if you put them on a ventilator before they died).

Data pulled from https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm (though the site changed quite a bit since then).
