I dual boot Windows 10 with Lubuntu.

I must admit, XP was pretty excellent for something made by microsoft.

Win7 is more stable than XP, which is what makes it a tough choice. I mean, I miss 95/98 too but I remember how often blue screens occurred.

I wouldn't know, I checked out at vista.

and yeah, for as hackable and sort of 'fun' as '95 and '98 could sort of sometimes be, they were so unstable that they were just slightly obnoxious toys. Or something.

I've had good experiences running linux, more in past years than lately of course, but still better than anything microsoft or apple generally put out, in my ever so very humble opinion.

I'm pretty curious about Elementary OS. I might try that next. I have a pretty nice computer sitting there not doing anything at the moment that would surely run that nicely.

Hah! I used to keep an OS/2 install disk handy to threaten intransigent systems with. "Keep it up, and I'll install THIS on you!!!"

...then, just taking the failed components out to the range to use as reactive rifle targets proved funner, so I just switched to that.

Dual boot = windows users pretending to not be windows users.

They boot up once a month or for visitors so that they can use Firefox for 20 minutes.

I only use linux and when I have to use windows I use Mingw

Everything has gone to shit. The more I learn the more I just want to run directly on hardware. Fuck everything is fucked and secure systems are lame and gay. Just shove my dick in a database and hump the f5 firewall appliance with a forklift.

EDIT oh yeah, and your fucking yubi keys can go right up your ass. Don't worry the phone stalker app will still work as a backup for my ankle monitor.
