Has anyone here, ever in their life, encountered an animal, wild or domesticated, that had rabies?

Yes, a bulldog in the middle of the road when I was 4 years old... People were yelling and screaming at me but I didn't understand what was going on.... About that time, the dog jerked violently to one side and the blood flew, someone had shot it.

Yes, squirrel in north carolina. Was driving on a state road after dark. Saw a squirbo take off running from the left side of the road to the right side. Slowed to not hit it at about the time that it ran from the right side to the left. Came to a stop completely as it ran back from left to right. It must have did this 5 or 6 time before I gave it a honk and started edging up. Me being oblivious to the possibility it had rabies, hopped out of the car to go chase it down. Fuckin thing was pretty lurching and unstable, kept running back and forth while I walked up to it. At about that time another car drove up, stopped and said it probably had rabies, and that there was a couple more cases locally. I back peddalled and hopped in. My wife's grand mother was not so lucky, she got bit by squirrel, squirrel just hung around trying to attack people. had to get a fuck ton of shots in her stomach.

Yes, raccoon, walked out to scare them away from the garbage cans and one was acting way crazier than the others, attacking even the other raccoons and it was doing this high pitched screaming and growling, it didn't run away when I banged on the cans, it didn't even seem to notice I was there. Obviously I don't know for sure if it had it, but it was acting very outside normal. I just left it and went back inside.

Yes. This spring I ran into a woodchuck/ground squirrel that was fucked. Got some footage of it.

No, our old cat snagged a bat out of the air and killed it so we asked the vet about rabies. He said we don't have it in this area.

Not that I was aware of. I live around bats but, lots of 'em and as we know from, um, recent events they are breeding grounds for the apocalypse.
