At the base of the mountain where I live is the worlds worst Del taco attached to a gas station. They have a sign out that says “now hiring $16-$21 an hour” to shovel greasy, disgusting, pretend food into taco shells for fat fucks all day.

My wife is upset that she went to school to be a vet tech to make $16/hr to save the lives of pets, when she could’ve avoided debt and bided her time.

I prospected for work in the U.S. (am canuck) at the beginning of the summer, I was about to renegotiate my terms at work & got curious about the response I'd get.

I had companies willing to sponsor and pay for an express visa demand & help me move to have experienced tradesmen on the floor.

Where? McDonald's, Arby's, DG, etc are paying $14-$20 per hour with a sign on bonus ($1000 is the highest I've seen) for literally any nigger off the street. Those types of jobs aren't supposed to "cut it"

I can't say this isn't happening, but it isn't here. The biggest grocery store near me is shy 80 employees. The regional manager was running a register last week to help out. Those kids and the fast food people are getting OT if they want it.

Idk where you'd even find an actual minimum wage paying job within 100 miles of me?

I'm interpreting this as you thinking people should be able to survive off a job at Arby's. I just don't get it?
