This is sick in so many ways, but how is this "gore"? A guy with a shiner hardly classifies as gore. This is a regular news story, and when it's branded as gore people might skip over this, thinking they'll see badly mutilated rotting corpses.

I agree. I'm desensitized to most gore as well, but some people have very weak stomachs. Which is a good thing because it's not really healthy to be desensitized to the grotesque. One should always look away in horror.
