Just the other day I accidentally put a wide crown staple into my Achilles tendon. Stapled my boot right to my ankle with that one.

One thing I've never done was hold still to take a picture with a fastener in my skin. All I do is take a deep breath and pull and get back to work.

Long day installing a wood floor. I liked to do 10-11 hours on Monday to get a jump on the job.

I was using a butane powered nail gun one day. I held the plank in place with my left hand and nailed it.

The nail hit a knot in the wood that wasnt visible on the surface. The nail did a 180 and came out the face of the board and into my index finger.

this was at about 8-9pm so I was done for the day.

I pulled my hand off the nail and walked to the bathroom in the house I was working in.

I rinsed my hand off in the sink and suddenly had the overpowering urge to shit!

The next morning the contractor I worked for called me and asked what happened?

Apparently the owner had stopped by the house really early and there was a blood trail from the living room to the bathroom. And blood all over the sink!

Guy said it looked like a crime scene. I just wrapped it and drank beer.

Newbie had a loose vise, also had the stupid reflex to try and catch it as it lifted... banged his finger & somehow still had the other hand on the quill handles & proceded to drill his finger as it recoiled downwards in pain.

He's ok, light duty for a few days & a stupid accident report to file to attract osha inspectors.
