Atheism requires just as much faith as religion.

Is that a compliment?

How could what I said be interpretted as a compliment? Maybe it would depend on the perspective of the person reading it...

Well if religion requires faith, and so does atheism, then in that aspect they are equal. Are you saying that regardless of what you believe regarding the supernatural, it's going to be a matter of faith?

Also, is faith a good thing? Bad thing? Just a neutral fact? What exactly are you trying to get across here with that statement?

Yes, but only equal in the degree to which belief in them is dependent upon faith.

Are you saying that regardless of what you believe regarding the supernatural, it's going to be a matter of faith?

Sort of. The one obvious exception is agnosticism.

Faith is not inherently good or bad. Faith in Christ vs faith in Satan are two very different things, but are both faith. With regard to religious faith, I define faith as being what a person needs to justify belief in the absence of objective evidence. This is not a criticism of those who have faith in God or Christ, just a recognition of the reality of faith itself.

There is no such thing as agnosticism, I beleive you are mistaken as to what atheism means.

I do not believe in God because I have yet to see evidence that could convince me of his existence, and I have reasons not to believe in him that would have to be adequately addressed before I could accept the claim that God exists.

My disbelief is therefore tentative on having my doubts resolved and being given a reason to believe in God's existence.

Otherwise, I will stick to the null hypothesis which is the default for any claim until this state of affairs changes.

I'm not soneone who will say that I am committed to rejecting the existence of God as a possibility, because it is not scientific, logical, and rational to reject any claim as a matter of dogma, no matter what that claim is.

claims agnosticism isn't a thing
describes himself as agnostic

Congrats bro, you're not an atheist, you're agnostic.

Agnosticism isn't a real thing, an attention starved jew just drew a circle over the definition that applied to the majority of atheists and gave it a label he just made up. One that was wholly unnecessary.

I reject it.

Oh I see. You're retarded. Sorry I didn't notice sooner. Get well soon!
