This is a second-hand story, so not everything may be right.

At a barely upscale bar, Warrant (She's My Cherry Pie hit song) was playing. My brother's wife (now ex) was working the kiosk. The lead singer comes up and requests two packs of Marlboro. He tries to walk away without paying. It went down something like this:

Cashier: Where are you going? You have to pay for that.

Singer: Huh? I'm the singer of Warrant. I don't have to pay for anything.

C: You are paying for it or I am calling the bouncers over here.

S: comes back and pays I'm never playing this shit venue again.

C: Probably. [Ouch.]

I do have to give him credit that he didn't say the proverbial, "I will get you fired for this."

Apprently that guy had a lot of problems. At one time he was really good looking, then got fat and drunk. Ended up killing himself.

I used to work peripherally to music so I've met a lot of pretty well known people and have no bad stories. Ozzy was really cool when I met him. The Gene and Paul stories are all second hand. Apparently Gene won't be interviewed unless it's a pretty woman and then he hits on her constantly. I also heard from a member of Nashville Pussy where he pushed his way to the front of the line at a Starbucks and did the 'do you know who I am?' bullshit
