Just read this guys whole wiki page after seeing this post. Man, that guy deserved execution, what a sick fuck! Not including all the filth he produced and sodomy and cheating. He was having sex with a 14 year old at 70! And he was also the first person to publicly discuss the promotion of abortion. At least his based son burned all his unpublished works after he died.

The high-brow academic take on Sade is that he was part of the counter-enlightenment, arguing that Reason alone isn't good but can and is used for the most horrible desires. He definitely demonstrated that (cf. 120 Days of Sodom), but whether he wasn't just degenerate perv but a clever philosopher type remains to be seen.

This is how pathetic the French were in the 19th century: their best novelist was a nigger.

According to who? Kike publishers?

Last time I checked Honoré de Balzac was white & way more respected than Alexandre Dumas.

I've read all of Dumas and I'll say he was good (Count of Monte Cristo is amazing) but a little inconsistent. (Musketeers: some great, others terrible) I've tried Victor Hugo and he was okay but tiring. I've never gotten around to Honoré de Balzac. Any specific recommendations?
