Do you know anyone that has been diagnosed with COVID-19? If so, did they ever have the flu? If so, have you asked them if there were differences in the symptoms? I can answer yes to all of those questions. The main identifier of some new illness we can call COVID-19 is the addition of the symptom of losing the sense of taste and smell for a period of time. Though there are other ailments that would include that symptom they are exclusive of all the other combined symptoms that are associated with the flu. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude there is an illness that responds to medicines that bacteria does not and is, therfore a new virus we can call COVID-19.

Because it has been healing people within days. I can't say for certain, as I'm nothing but an observer, but others have had the same sickness and it cleared right up.
