Thing ive heard about: Apparently there are ships out there devoted to making giant hexagonal ice blocks. They line the blocks up to form an ice sheet.
The idea is we are losing our ice sheet that reflects sun light. The less sunlight reflected back into space the more is absorbed on Earth to warm things up. This worsens existing ice sheet loss. So those ships strive to prevent a situation that spirals out of control and if possible reverse the situation. Stuff ive heard anyhow.
