I was driving today and a Coleman Hawkins song came on and his name popped into my head immediately and I realised that I love his style and never bought any of his records. And Oscar Peterson is also brilliant. Ditto there.

I guess we all glom onto what we love and ignore the rest. Until later. Now, near the end of the world is probably that later.

..additionally: the tenor saxophone is probably the best reed instrument. Or maybe the oboe. Or the bassoon. I am conflicted, but I do love the tenor sax. Even if it is not God's beloved trumpet.
