Let’s clarify something. The FBI set Weaver up to saw off a shotgun for them. They wanted him in custody to get him to talk about some alleged White Power militia folks he was supposedly hanging out with.

Edit: he had a court date he refused to show up to, that’s the excuse for surrounding his house.

Not quite, he had a court date, but the Feds changed the date, but never notified Weaver of the new court date. So they got the warrant for not showing up on the date he was never notified of.

THIS. Not only did they set him up, but they also had the/an undercover agent pretending to be his friend for months, ask him to modify a shotgun for him, and then gave him the incorrect measurements for it to be done. Then they served him papers to be in court with the wrong date, and then raided his house when he did not show up on the mispritned date.

Apparently they’ve all claimed to “forgive the government for destroying our family”…

If that’s even true, why would someone forgive a government?

Letting go of your anger, or moving passed it, or forgiving the agents personally is one thing. But how can someone want to forgive the government?

That's the government speaking.

Forgiving someone who doesn't want to be forgiven and has no contrition encourages more bad behavior. Calling psychopaths bad people is more useful. Moving past it can only be done with good results if you give them to the devil in your heart for eternity and understand that they're evil for eternity.

The Ridgers fired first what did they expect .. US Marshals who wanted to serve papers re the failure of Randy Weaver to attend court for the unlawful manufacture and sale of a sawed off shotgun, arrived at the Weaver household on Ruby Ridge near Naples, Idaho on August 21, 1992.

Wiki - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruby_Ridge.

Britannica.com - https://www.britannica.com/event/Ruby-Ridge.

* ArsTechnica - https://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=975653.

Deputy US Marshal 42 yo William Francis Degan shot the Weaver's dog where upon 14 yo Samuel Weaver shot him dead, where after he was himself shot dead when the other Marshals returned fire. The next day on August 22, 1992 FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi fired two shots from 200 yards away.

Conflicting accounts say Randy Weaver was hit in the arm and that family friend Kevin Harris was wounded, that Horiuchi's next bullet killed Vicki Weaver and her infant daughter precipitating an 11 day standoff.

Harris and Randy Weaver later surrendered both were acquitted of murder, conspiracy and other Federal charges. Weaver was convicted of failing to appear for trial on the firearms charge, the Federal Government declined to prosecute Horiuchi.

In that Mr Weaver had failed to appear in court means he would have been expecting a visit from officialdom, and since it is well known police or in this case sheriff's officers shoot aggressive dogs, as soon as he saw lawmen coming up the driveway the dog should have been chained up.

My own gut feeling is the whole issue was contrived from beginning to end, and that there is a hoax / False Flag element at play here.

So you admit the first shots were the officers shooting the dog but still blame the kid for firing first.

And you claim that the family actually seen the agents coming up the driveway before the dog noticed them sneaking through the Forrest, and therefore could have chained it up?…

Lol, Why did You leave out the well known material fact that the FEDS used (the common tactic of changing the court date without notifying the defendant) in order to procure an arrest warrant for failure to appear, and rather than use the obvious public access road - attempted to surreptitiously surveil and sneak up to the cabin - thus precipitating the entirety of what transpired and followed on from the surprise confrontation between the dog discovering the Agent and the son acting in self defense to an armed attack on his family pet and then himself from unknown and unannounced individuals hiding on his fathers property ?? ....

The problem is that every knows exactly what your opinion is because your opinion depends entirely on specific sources as if you're quoting from a book of religious scripture. You need consensus with authority figures, and want them to do your thinking for you. You want to trust them as if they are theology instructors and spiritual guides. They are rephrasing second hand "information" and are motivated to do that things you don't ask about. You took a leap of faith with people that have had more doubt cast on their word than all the religions together.
