There’s an episode of South Park with Mr. Hanley about this very thing. Season 5 I believe.

NOT TRUE :

You know God invented the ultimate solar panel, it's called a leaf.

Problem one, just how animal retinas are 1,000 times less sensitive for photons than man made chips that work with a SINGLE photon and animal cells need TWO PHOTONS almost the same time (to not be dazzled during daytime)... leaves are equally shitty in their own ways.

Leaves are shitty design on this planet because they IGNORE the main wavelengths created by the sun. Its true... if a leaf looks "green" it means its absorbing all light EXCEPT green and bouncing green energy. But our sun mainly emits green light (greenish yellow)

This means if the leaf was intelligently designed its a shitty design.

far older than leaves are bacteria that use light. CYANOBACTERIA

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanobacteria

they obtain energy via photosynthesis too,b ut use light differently

purple blue and cyano bacteria all eat up various different energies of sun and BOUNCE BACK the colors hey do not eat up :

wow

see those spectral charts?

If a god invented leaves they would be dark blackish brown to our eyes. Even bacteria are more efficient than leaves.

And crude oil is just old plants. Burning it returns the carbon to the atmosphere so it can become plants again, and crude oil again.
