In fly related news, last week I saw a fly Id never seen. I thought Id seen all the bugs this general area had to offer but nope. In fact Id never seen this thing anywhere.

I was at lunch sitting outside. A girl walked up to her car and stopped. I could see the bug on her car from 30'. I went over. Sitting on the fender of her car was the biggest fly I've ever seen. And it was kinda odd. It wasn't a horse fly. It was at least twice as big as the biggest horse fly I've ever seen. And the body shape was wrong. It had a long body and wings instead of the grapeish shape of house and horse. But it had the head of a fly, a giant head but a fly head. And the lega were distinctly fly.

If it landed in the palm of my hand the leg spread would have covered my palm. Gigantic.

I was kinda fascinated. It was Enormous and Id never seen such a thing. So I searched the internet and after a while I found the Robber Fly. A giant carnivorous fly that hunts grasshopper sized insects including sometimes spiders. Apparently they live all over N America in different varieties.

How I've never seen or been aware of these things idk. Gigantic spider eating flys the size of my fuckin hand.

It's a pricey gimmick, and a 3d printed alternative would be awesome, but the salt-a-bug blaster is truly the shit.

Box Elder bugs are niggers.

Flies come in second for me.

Ants are worse.

Yeah but you can kill them there isn't even any punishment if you're caught, you can do it in broad daylight. I've seen people do it while on live television.

I've given considerable thought to which I hate more - flies or mosquitos and decided upon the latter because they won't take no for an answer.

Was a mostly flyless year until the last two weeks. Now they everywhere.
