Ya I still gotta get out for some spot prawns need a puller tho.
Know a dude who was renting a small runabout in the off season and getting something like 250 prawns a day out of 4 traps.
I have yet to try it but it’s definitely on my list of things I gotta do.

I saw a couple shining for gulf shrimp at night. The girl would use a flashlight, while her husband was waiting next to her with a cast net. The shrimp would be attracted to the light and he netted them. Biggest god damn shrimp I ever saw, easily 12 inches. I was losing my shit when they showed me their catch. They were doing this off a fishing pier, truly I was flabbergasted. Never seen nothing like it

Here check this out it’s about bully netting lobster and looks very much like what your describing.
I have no idea how they shrimp in the south but we use a trap suspended in the water about three hundred feet below the surface.
Although there has been the odd shrimp in my crab trap. Can’t figure out how they don’t just fall out.

I hear seaweed will pull radionucleotides out of your body, even if it's contaminated to begin with and I have a hard time going back.

Rock crabs aren’t all that plentiful where I’m at.
Always small females.
I haven’t crabbed in probably 25 years untill this year so far I haven’t started losing teeth and hair so that’s good right !
