Made an account with old Voat name as soon as NuVoat opened up. Immediately forgot the password and could never recover the account. Lurked until now.

Only clue I'll give as to my old name was, is "AT"

Was never that popular anyway, so don't bother guessing.

Use a password manager. It's incredibly unsafe to use the same password everywhere, or non-generated passwords in general. Also a password manager means you can sign up a hundred different places and not worry about logins. I recommend bitwarden. The only issue with them is remembering your master password, the thing can stay logged in for a year and it's easy to forget whatever it was. Probably best to use with biometrics so you don't need to remember that either.

I've got one of those old analog password managers. Works well, when I actually remember to use it.

just use firefox sync, write down the mozilla account's password and avoid those password managers, you never hear about mozilla accounts getting hacked.
