I bought a $45 heat sink because my stock CPU fan kept revving on my expensive new computer (pre-built due to lack of separate high-end video cards). I installed it several hours ago. My God, it is heaven. It is only slightly quieter during idle, but no more random whirling up in RPMs! I am so much more happier now.
(I bought the popular CoolerMaster 212 V2 model. Enter code FUCKYOU on newegg.com for 10% off, and don't forget to subscribe!)
If you like ugly tan fans while the slimy company offers black ones separately.
I put a Noctua in my last computer. It truly was great. After seven and a half years, it started leaking. That fried my video card. I was too stupid to figure out what was really leaking (my super video card had some kind of fluid pipes as well). My friend gave me a decent video card. The Noctua pissed on that too and fried it in a month. I finally figured out what was going on.
Anyway, you are right. Noctua's are great, but simply because of that faggot tan fan, I bought a Cooler Master instead.
just pay more for the gray ones, i don't mind the poo colors
what leak? afaik noctua never made a liquid cooler, if a fitting was leaking it wasn't theirs, anyway most companies compensate for water damage by giving you a check or gift card.
My old system was not liquid cooled. This is what confused me initially as well; I did not think there was liquid in those copper pipes as well. But they must be filled with liquid. Otherwise, where was the liquid coming from?
After the second card fried, I ripped out the Noctua heat sink, replaced it with a stock CPU fan, went and got a shit third video card while looking for a new system. No more liquid.
Like everything in my life, I could be wrong, but I am now almost positive there is liquid in those copper pipes.
And I don't think a company is going to pay for water damage after seven years. Even if they would, I wouldn't bother after that much time. Seems jewish to try after that long.
Heat pipes are generally made of Copper/Aluminum wall which comprises a fluid which changes its state from liquid to gas and then gas to liquid constantly.
Look, the company has been ridiculed about the color of their faggot tan fans for a lot for years. They market black fans sold separately. I'm old enough to know that some niggerfaggot middle manager said, "Hey we have a great product, but if we make a shit-colored stock fan, they will buy our accessory black fans." He got promoted to head of marketing.
I bought a Cooler Master this time instead. Because it goes with my Feng Shui.
E: As an additional example: Intel was superior over AMD years ago. Because Intel is jew and did some known underhanded things, I intentionally bought an AMD CPU back in 2014. My money. My beliefs. My decisions.

E: This corny page is the first I could find that says that the pipes contain liquid:

Why do you care what color an internal part is?
