The entire reason I use a site like this is because I do want curated content. That does mean some content gets filtered or removed to provide more relevant results. Yes, this includes bans. The entire reddit style is not great for absolute free speech, but it does offer a good signal to noise ratio.

The trick is having a site that can be trusted to only censor people shitting up the place and not censor people for wrongthink.

That was his last recorded comment and is simply internet tough guy banter with AndrewBlazeIt. No biggie, carry on if that floats your boat.

The post in question was totally scrubbed from the site. System and I saw it at the same time, discussed that it was over the top and exposed the site (possibly legally), it was double-deleted, and we agreed that a ban was in order with removal of all of his content.

Too many "do-gooders" out there just looking for the slightest reason to report and shut down sites like ours; look at what ruqqus chose to do, they didn't want to deal with it so they said fuck it and threw a blanket on all 'questionable' speech. That's not where we want this site to go. We hated banning NWE but a line was double-plus-bad crossed. There's nothing stopping him from making a new account and many would like to see him come back. Bans suck, but they are a necessary evil to keep this place up and running.

PostScript: pings do not work with any reliability at all, I just stumbled into the thread. Please PM system or me of any behavior on the site that doesn't belong.
