It is still "evidence", even if it isn't proof. It also doesn't tell you the direction, "are they fat because they watch tv, or do they watch tv because they are fat?"

Actually causal statistics has gone a long way but unfortunately most statisticians never learn those tricks. Judea Pearl is leading researcher on the topic.

Oh yeah. Powerful mathematical techniques are amazing. I'd assume these can tease out even small causation hidden in noise, like the magic of Fourier transforms for noisy signals with a periodic component.

2. Ask if peer reviewed.

3. If not peer reviewed you win. Name call. Down vote. Go ask someone else for source. If peer reviewed continue to step 4.

4. Go to google and search the source title + debunked.

5. Pull up debunked webpage and copy some text saying why it's debunked. Don't bother reading either the source or the debunked source.

6. Paste into forum. You win. Name call. Down vote. Go ask someone else for source.

Play their game. Start demanding sources. They are the ones who want to infringe on freedoms. They better have some damn good data to do that (if morally that could ever be enough anyway). None of their policies work out because they don't know jack shit before they act. They don't have sources for their viewpoints either. Shift the burden of proof back onto them for the crazy shit they want to do. Blanket source denialism will infuriate them just as much as it does us.

They publish fake data to support global warming. Do you need them to start on covid too? Because they will. It doesn't matter how many studies they have, they can't tell us what to do.
