I have watched 'Pumping Iron' once a year for probably the last twenty. From his antics in that movie, Id say he's been an asshole for the long haul.

He's just full of charisma so he can hide the sleaze a bit better than most.

Still love that flick though.

We want to believe some of these actors are “our guys” because of the characters they play, or even positions they take early in their career, but in the end they are mostly just whores, just monkeys that dance to some organ grinder’s tune and shake their little cup. Take that fuckin wop de niro.
