THE LAW IS SELF-EVIDENTLY SELF-JUSTIFIED: The United States of America is a special constitutional form of government, as different from any other. In a free society, the government is supposed to protect and defend the citizens from criminals, or foreign powers, or each other. However, since there are no special police or soldiers to protect the citizens from these others, or prevent all the others from committing crimes, the governments, based upon their organization, control the crime and the criminal, instead of the other way around.
The core of the Leviathan is its control over the laws. A state created by people who are like them in a variety of ways has the result of being controlled by them. This results in the state of laws themselves being selfish, and based on the politicians and special interest groups who wrote and enacted them, and, therefore, is a law itself. To get a job that will let you live long enough to spend any political capital as you wish, is to be constantly under assault by the government.
At the same time, since each individual person decides what he wants to be protected from, and to do to make the government his servant, each individual needs to decide what the government can and can’t do to him. Each individual’s viewpoint must be the foundation of the laws, and then, when these laws are written, those who read them must remember the issue each individual citizen has decided to have decided upon.
This is not to be a joke, but a great truth. It is not possible to change the laws, as written, even if the people agree on a program. The solution is to write a program of laws, to limit the powers of the politicians and their enforcement officers. Since each of us must live and die in accordance with the policies we decided upon, we should not interfere with each other. The main problem of the people who can do something is to stop trying to do something, and to let others do whatever they can do
