It takes time for heat to leave objects.

Take something out of the microwave, that is hot, and see that it cools slowly.

The larger it is, the slower it cools.

The surface of the Earth take a long time to cool down.

If genuine question, is because most heat come from earth surface. Surface energized by sun, then heat radiated by earth surface.
