Since you started the thread it is up to you to convince us unbelievers. Post his best work. A couple songs you think are brilliant work. Their radio played stuff failed to sell me their albums. My opinion isn't fully informed, but Im not going to listen to the Creed discography for this thread. That would be a waste of time because I'm pretty sure I'll still think they are very average.

I liked the intro. But then the song just became radio friendly rock. I think they are probably better musicians than I think. But to fix that means becoming less corporate rock which is where they fall apart. Basically the same reason Foo Fighters suck.

Yes sure it delivers what it is, a FM radio song for the masses but it takes nothing away from its inherent value, purpose and decent result.
Actually yeah check out all their albums. It is scary how good they really were.

2001 is prime loudness war territory. Early 16 bit digital recording mastered for CD only offers so much dynamic range, and that coupled with the goal of creating the loudest fucking album possible compared to all others makes this a relatively normal thing of the late 90s/ early 2000s. Nickelbak is another band that gets shit on but is somewhat ok (yes I really said that)

Everybody thinks it's kewl to say they hate Creed and Creed sucks, but their 3rd album, Weathered, was the highest selling rock album of all time, which speaks to the popularity of their 2nd album, Human Clay. (Weathered actually did kind of suck.) if everybody thinks Creed sucks, who is buying all their records?

I also appreciate that their lyrics aren't degenerate.

This may be an unpopular (and, admittedly, uninformed) opinion and something that I appreciate about Creed is that they competed on the open field, rather than relegating themselves to the special olympics of Christian rock.

Yeah, Alterbridge was the same band with a different vocalist. He has a band under his own name for a while now.

Just spent few hours listening to Alter Bridge. It is crap. Incredible how a band is only as good as its singer it seems.
