Why do this if you can just visit the site? A normie would have trouble doing this and someone who knows how to use the terminal already knows this. And why echo an empty string as a second command after the curl?

True, but many stupid fucks use the browser plugin option of their VPN, and the only thing it is covering is the fucking browser.

The command seems as though it would be easier to script. Also, per-app VPNs are a thing.
