So...my property is located near a golf course. About two hundred yard walk through the woods and I'm on the back 9.

Been here for twenty years and everyone around us has six to ten or more acres, comfy living. Well there is a developer buying the golf course and intends on putting 460+ houses and we'll end up paying the city taxes. My pond is fed through the creeks naturally running through that land. The closest neighbor is already trying to sell his land and moving to the beach. What do goats? I like it here.

Sucks man. My little neck of the woods (which really did used to be woods) has been getting more and more developed over the years to the point that now this area is where everyone wants to live.

I miss the woods.

If any endangered species makes it's way to that land, it might slow things down. Make it look like there are some bald eagle nests

Has creeks, so likely there's an endangered salamander there.

A friend of mine is a birder and would check out a bald eagle's nest somewhere in Florida. Builders wanted that land but the nest was a problem. One day the nest 'miraculously' disappeared. It was incredible timing; almost as if it was meant to be. Fucking assholes got their permits to build not long after taht.

Disappearing a bald eagles nest sounds quintessentially jewish.

Cry harder, faggot.

You could make the developer disappear and never be seen again.

Fight it in city/county council meetings. A low income apartment complex that was proposed just got absolutely slapped down in my town recently. People weren't having any of that shit.

If it passes and construction starts, start taking potshots at construction crews while under tree cover.

I have tunnels. Kek?

You may be far enough away for the residents to not make an impact on your life noise-wise. Go to their meetings and find out if they'll take down many of those trees. That would really suck.

The first hundred yards of trees are mine, the next is a neighbors.

Has that development already been approved by the city?

[ - ] anon 3133706 [op] 1 point 3.8 yearsJul 31, 2021 07:51:28 ago (+1/-0)

They're going through the motions for the revenue aspects of it. We live in the county and city cops won't come here.

Well, there is the option of getting those neighbors together and fighting that. We all know that will be difficult if not a waste of time and money though.

Other than that you can only sell. The decision then is when to sell. It'll take time to build that thing so you'll have some peace til they start construction. And when to get out for max money is a consideration.

The first choice is to fight or not.

There is a community group looking at equity loans on their property to buy it outright but that won't change the cities plans.

[ - ] anon 3778159 0 points 3.8 yearsJul 31, 2021 08:15:23 ago (+0/-0)

You can stay I guess. It depends on a lot of stuff though. It'll obviously mean more traffic and noise. Depending on the details of construction that could be minimized. But you're right up on the edge of the thing. And then there's the pond and if this thing will mess that up. Probably.

It sucks no matter what though.

Hold on to your acreage. After the area is developed it will be worth more, at least in non-clownworld it would be.

Buy the golf course and let it revert to nature

There is a community group looking to do this, I have to go to the meetings. All whites of course.
