If you had the choice

submitted by s23erdctfvyg to AskUpgoat 2.8 yearsJul 29, 2021 16:02:43 ago (+2/-9)     (AskUpgoat)

If you had the choice between a comfortable death, or a life of agony, which would you choose?

If you don't understand the question, let me say it in a couple different ways.

If you were in Eden, would you stay there even though life would have no future? Or would you choose to eat the apple and go to Earth, for a chance at a future?

Conversely, if you were cast into hell, and were promised heaven upon your death, would you kill yourself? Or would you struggle and survive in hell? Keep in mind, if you choose to struggle, your children, if you manage to have any, will be born in hell, and will have to survive there as well.

Not at all. I would explain why, but there's a better comment to respond too, to explain why. How about this,
imagine you were in a zombie apocalypse, the disease spread through the air. You've seen signs of other survivors, but never met them, only found corpses of those that gave up, and likewise the signs are growing fewer and fewer. The zombies are at ever moment looking for you, and every moment is an agonizing struggle to survive.

Like the other survivors, do you give up and take the easy way out? Or perhaps go out in a blaze of glory, telling yourself, at least I didn't die a cowards death? These are both an example of a comfortable death, there is no future beyond yourself.

Or do you choose to not give up despite what you face? Do you clench your teeth and push through both your despair and your anger, and not let your emotions get you killed? To choose a life of agony

I would do what I am doing now. I fight for others. Screw my agony.

Bad argument. Why are those the only choices? And why would life in Eden be a life of agony? Why would there be no future in Eden? Eden WAS on Earth, so you wouldn't have to "go to Earth". If one were "cast into hell", one is, by definition dead, so your follow up "and were promised heaven upon your death" is a non sequitur. The who purpose of hell is everlasting punishment, so there is no struggle or survival because there is nothing other than that. How does one have children in hell?

Everything you wrote shows you have no idea of Christian theology beyond what you might have picked up in an afternoon in Sunday School with other six year olds.

Eden was chosen as an example of absolute paradise, something you would never want to leave, and Hell was chosen as absolute agony, something you would always want to leave.
"why would life in Eden be a life of agony?" It wouldn't, it would be absolute comfort.
"Why would there be no future in Eden?" You wouldn't have children. But, perhaps Eden wasn't the best example, but nevertheless the only example I could think of that met absolute paradise.

" If one were "cast into hell", one is, by definition dead, so your follow up "and were promised heaven upon your death" is a non sequitur." In the hypothetical case you ended up in hell, alive. I really shouldn't have the explain this.

" How does one have children in hell?" Others like you, that haven't given up.

"Bad argument. Why are those the only choices?" I think you'll find, those are the only choices being given to us. What I'm curious about is what you'll choose to do.

Theosophy and kabbalah are predicated on the idea that Adam and Eve were factual, and that they made a mistake in not telling God to fuck off. They need all people to follow the snake instead. It's radical fundamentalism and exactly what you're asking.

The cult is all about other people and forcing their bizarre idiocy on all people.
Communism and the 200 million they killed wouldn't exist without kaballah. Theosophy is an offshoot of kabballah, and takes in the non jewish political assholes. It's where new age idiocy all came from.

They believe beyond a doubt that All people on earth have to be cross bred like dogs. They won't get their satanic messiah until they force it on all others. The cult started in the late 1800's and they demanded people understand that the world was overpopulated when it had under 2 billion people. Find an oligarch that doesn't have the insane belief that the world is overpopulated.

They won't give up anything until they're stripped of every dollar they have permanently. And there's only way too that.

And if you can't do that, then will you choose to go out in a blaze of glory, telling yourself at least you did something, at least you weren't a coward? Or will you keep looking for others like yourself, and survive through this hell, until the day they destroy themselves?

hey ran the USSR for about 75 years and killed tens of millions. They aren't about to destroy themselves. They have to be deliberately destroyed. You understand that their primary hold is the public and private pension plans? They can tanks them all in a heartbeat. Once that threat is understood by enough people they'll see the importance of the capture. One ambitious group can do it publically all at once or privately one by one.
