What is the actual sabbath day?

Calendars have been changing/ed many times - most recently the great TEN DAY shift in 1752.

https://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/julian-gregorian-switch.html

If TEN DAYS disappears, the week went from SATURDAY Sep 2, 1752 to THURSDAY Sep 14, 1752.

So who the fuck cares what DAY OF THE WEEK the new sabbath is on? Saturday isn't the "7th day" anymore than Sunday is.

The days of the month have been changed many times. The cycle of weeks has never been changed.

Can you explain that more? I don't understand what you are saying with "cycle of weeks"

In the 1752 calendar shift, the people experienced Sat, Thur, Fri, Sat. Are you saying God accepted that as a 7 day cycle?

When did God establish the first calendar? Exodus? He laid out the months and the holidays, and numbered the days in each month, but was there a calendar of sabbaths? Has that survived and matched with the western calendaring systems through thousands of years?

Have you got a source for this, I’ve never come across it before.

logic also says you can't change a calendar by anything other than 7 days and stay on the rotation

the whole "ten missing days" should be a major clue that the western calendar is not- and probably never was - aligned with any deistic calendar

one argument is that "the change was made to realign the celestial calendar because of leap years and other bullshit" but then the question is - was the sabbath honored before that??? how could saturday be the sabbath if the change needed 10 days??

First result for me from your bing search:

“Adopting the Gregorian calendar meant that England had to advance their current calendar by 11 days. September 2, 1752, was followed by 14 September, 1752. The day, however, progressed naturally, from Wednesday (on September 2) to Thursday (on September 14). The calendar applied to all British colonies, including the United States, Canada, and Australia. Despite persisting rumors, there was very little backlash from the community. Life went on as usual.”

I think confusion arises from the varying relations between the dates of the many countries switching to the new calendar at different times between 1582 (Roman empire) and 1752 (British empire)

That's just one example.

Do you really think that there has been a continuous line of "sabbath" days?

Do a bible search for days of the week. How many days of the week show up in the old testament? What role did the translators play in naming those days?

I would like to understand your "cycle of weeks" concept better - at what point did the jewish calendar system and western calendar system meet?

Romans 14:4-6

Galatians 4

Colossians 2

Does it really matter?
