its a numbers game, so dont always capture and hold bumble bees to show off, because unlike honey bees they can sting more than one time, if enraged. Unlike all other bees, its not a guaranteed suicide to the animal to inject venom.
I have many fond memories of them buzzing and trying to fly in my cupped hands as I ran to release them in front of my young friends. such thrills wrangling them. A really docile one if you are chicken is one tired dying and buzzing in circles on sidewalk all lethargic.
