Worked at a bike shop back when the Nixon speed limit was still in force (USA). Got the newest superbike in, fastest production bike made. Assembled it and took it for a test. Long straight stretch of interstate highway, opened it up full. Hanging on and didn't look at the speedo but it was topped out. Approached a slight rise and a state trooper car crested the hill. I shut down to 55mph and was riding along like a good citizen waiting for him to turn around and catch up. He stopped me and immediately started getting excited about the bike. He wanted one. We talked a bit and he told me he would write a ticket except I want by so fast he couldn't get his radar gun up from the seat in time to measure me. I wish I'd looked at the speedo or he had gotten a reading.

If you got balls to read the speedo, you could be going faster.
90-95(mph) on my XR 650 L feels like riding a missile. That's fast enough for me .. unless someone is in front, then I could do a little more.
