The devil is based on Pan pronounced Pawn which is the root word for fawn as in baby deer. It’s a half human with goat legs and horns. There was a smear campaign aimed at the pagan religions and they successfully made the wizards hat the witches hat, Neptune’s trident became the devils pitchfork, and Pan became the devil.
The real underworld is the Southern Hemisphere. The equatorial region is called the band of Anu.
