Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary today. But then again I haven't used my ISP's DNS (or Google/Cloudflare) for years.

They tried making the web do things it really wasn't meant for. On top of that, it seems to be dependant on things with major weaknesses.

HILARIOUS!!!!!!

I and most people I know run our own DNS servers and have perfect uptimes and use each other as secondaries. Typically 3 authoritative DNS on 3 nations on 3 networks.

We smug eilitists never would use Google or Cloudflare for our DNS. In todays outtage its akamai

All those dead sites used ONE SINGLE GODDAMNED DNS probably all in the same rack or same building.

I like idea of CDNs that are done right, and like akamai for static pages, not dns, but trusting middlemen for dns is a risk
