A CIA FOIA request from 2017 reveals a remote viewing session of the planet Mars from 1 Million BC (among other things). The 'It's redacted' channel does what they do best and displays this information in a more digestible and entertaining format.

Take another look at the Martian 1 image returned by the Curiosity Rover on Sol 127, that the Martian bears a strong resemblance to Ernie one half of the Sesame Street Bert and Ernie brotherhood, is evidence manned missions had been to Mars by the time their characters appeared which predated the NASA Rovers by decades.
It is part of the controversial Stargate program that emerged out of the CIA and SRI psychedelic physics researching non-locality in the 1960s. These people were the first to survey Cydonia and the first to bring back information of structures on Mars, before any probes had even photographed the area. After the remote viewing operation, Cydonia become the most photographed region on the Martian planet for a time and the most spoken of, for a long time after that, because of the Face on Mars and less so the Pyramids. If it wasn't for their efforts it might never have come to light or continued to be overlooked for years. Furthermore, this comes directly from a FOIA request which has CIA files detailing the validity of psychic abilities. If you believe in space aliens but have a problem with psychics, then you might want to rethink your epistemology.
